What's included
Three therapies in one programme
Thread embedding acupuncture
Small, sterile, absorbable threads are placed at selected acupuncture points. They dissolve naturally and keep stimulating the points between visits.
Electroacupuncture
Acupuncture needles connected to a gentle electrical current. Most people feel a light tapping or tingling. 45 minutes.
Weight management massage
A 60-minute therapeutic massage as part of the programme.

Is it right for me?
Your practitioner reviews your health and medical history first. Please tell us if you:
- are pregnant, may be pregnant or are breastfeeding
- have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medication
- have diabetes, an autoimmune condition or immune suppression
- have an active skin infection
- are allergic to suture materials
- have a history of keloid or excessive scarring
- have any other significant medical condition
What can I expect after treatment?
Some temporary reactions are common, such as mild discomfort, tenderness, minor bleeding, bruising, swelling or redness. Less common are local inflammation, temporary numbness, delayed healing, small lumps under the skin or a thread coming out. Rare reactions include infection, allergic reaction, scarring, persistent pain or nerve irritation. Your practitioner explains the procedure, risks and aftercare before you start.
How long are the visits?
In weeks 2 and 4 you have 45 minutes of electroacupuncture and a 60-minute massage. Ask us how long your thread embedding visits will take.
Is it covered by ACC?
No. This is a private programme. The $600 price covers all 6 treatments.
Can you guarantee results?
No. Everyone responds differently. Results vary, and no specific amount of weight loss, change in body shape or timeframe can be guaranteed.
