What to expect at your appointments

Care for every step forward.

01 / YOUR FIRST VISIT

Initial session (consultation)

Understanding your symptoms — subjective assessment
Your physiotherapist will ask about your injury, symptoms and how they affect daily life. Questions may include when the pain started, what makes it better or worse, and whether it wakes you at night.

Hands-on tests — objective assessment
Your physiotherapist will assess the affected area with movement and hands-on tests, such as gently pressing an area or rotating a joint, to understand your movement and symptoms.

Treatment planning
Your physiotherapist will explain the assessment findings, including which muscles, tendons or other structures may be affected and what may have contributed to your symptoms. Together, you’ll discuss the recommended treatment and a plan for your ongoing recovery.

02 / YOUR ONGOING CARE

Follow-up sessions

A check-in on your progress
We begin with questions such as “How has your pain been?” and discuss any changes since your last visit.

Quick movement tests
Your physiotherapist checks your movement to assess your progress and identify what needs attention.

Treatment tailored to you
Treatment follows the review. Your physiotherapist selects the approach best suited to your condition, assessment findings and individual needs.

Meet our team
Is physiotherapy only massage?

No. Massage may be part of treatment, but physiotherapy involves much more. We combine assessment, exercise, hands-on techniques and other appropriate treatments to help manage pain, restore movement and prevent injuries.

Will one session fix my pain?

One session may help ease pain and get your recovery started. Progress depends on your condition and individual needs. Following your personalised treatment plan and recommended exercises helps support your recovery.

What is the goal of physiotherapy?

To reduce pain, improve movement, rebuild strength and lower the risk of re-injury—helping you return to the activities you enjoy.

How long will it take to see results?

Some people notice improvement within a few sessions, while others need longer. Recovery time depends on your condition, goals and response to treatment. We’ll discuss what to expect during your assessment.
